Checklist for a new submission
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission meets all of the elements shown below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to authors.

1. Article Length
- Maximum length: The article should not exceed 25 pages, including tables and figures.
Bibliographic References
- Minimum number of references: The article should contain more than 20 bibliographic references.
- Format of references: Make sure that all references are formatted according to APA7 standards.
3. Abstract
- Abstract length: The abstract should be between 150 and 250 words.
- Autonomy of the abstract: The abstract should be understandable on its own and should clearly reflect:
- The purpose of the research
- The main results obtained
- The conclusions of the research
4. Originality
- Previous publication: The request has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the editor).
5. Submission Format
- File type: Submission should be made only through OJS, and in Word format.
6. Author Information
- Author(s) information: The article should contain all author(s) data, including:
- Full name
- Last university degree
- Institutional affiliation (If it does not have institutional affiliation, it will be rejected).
- City - Country
- Institutional e-mail

7. Text Format
- Document formatting:
- The text is double spaced.
- Font size is 12 point.
- Italics are used for words where emphasis is desired.
- All illustrations, figures and tables are placed in the text in the appropriate place and not at the end.
8. Style Standards
- Compliance with standards: The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the APA Style Guidelines 7 for authors, which can be found in About the journal (APA Style Guidelines 7th edition).
9. Peer Review
- Review instructions: If you are submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, make sure that the instructions in “Ensuring double-blind peer review” have been followed.
10. Format of Figures and Tables
- Required formats: All figures and tables are submitted in JPG format and also in editable versions.
- Placement of tables and figures: Tables and figures should be placed once mentioned in the text and not at the end of the document.
11. Research Ethics
- Ethical approvals: In case the research has involved people or living beings, the authors must accredit the bioethics endorsement document of the institution and/or the respective informed consents.
