Operation of the laboratory apparatus SBAN in a Venezuelana University for the drying of sand.

The operation of the dryer was achieved for sand located in the Territorial Polytechnic University José Antonio Anzoátegui (UPTJAA) in Venezuela with discontinuous operation by means of direct drying in an axial flow from the atmosphere up to 96ºC for a speed of the hot air of up to 9,1m/s.The experiments were with fine sand of 5 x 10-4 m to a temperature of 70ºC, speed of air 6,6 m/s and relative humidity of 80%, it was determined that the team fulfills the drying process satisfactorily, obtaining a critical humidity of= 0.272 kg water/kg of dry base, drying speed in the period anticrítico Wc = 0.15 kg/hr m2, balance humidity X * = 0 kg of water/kg of dry base.
