Abstract

En este artículo se quiere compartir con la comunidad académica interesada en el fenómeno de la deserción, el estudio llevado a cabo por el grupo de investigación –Multivariado sobre las causas de deserción en los municipios no certificados1 del Departamento de Risaralda. El tema es de especial interés puesto que entre las metas del segundo objetivo de desarrollo del milenio (ODM)2 se ha planteado que para el año 2015 el departamento debe contar con una cobertura universal en la educación básica. La investigación es de tipo exploratoria sobre varias fuentes de información primarias y secundarias. Se utiliza análisis estadístico para generar las recomendaciones que ayuden a la Secretaría de Educación Departamental a lograr las metas que se ha propuesto en esta temática.
