Abstract

El ordenamiento territorial necesita de estrategias que consideran aspectos culturales y sus maneras de relacionarse con los ecosistemas naturales que aprovecha. El propósito de esta investigación, consistió en elaborar una propuesta de zonificación territorial  de Ecorregiones Estratégicas locales (EEL) para aportar a la gestión ambiental del Departamento del Quindío, mediante un Sistema de Información Geográfica que permitió identificar EEL siguiendo criterios socionaturales. Las EEL identificadas fueron: I: Filandia y Quimbaya; II: Circasia, Armenia, Montenegro y La Tebaida; III: Salento, Calarcá, Córdoba y Buenavista; IV: Pijao y Génova.
