Abstract

Se dan a conocer algunas causas que determinan el bajo aprovechamiento académico en el curso de álgebra lineal. Los resultados fueron obtenidos a partir de un examen de conducta de entrada, el cual constaba de dos partes: una encuesta para determinar la actitud y aptitud de los estudiantes frente a la matemática y una evaluación de conocimientos previos en matemática básica y fundamental. El examen se realizó a una muestra de estudiantes que cursaban álgebra lineal durante el segundo semestre académico de 2007 y primero de 2008. Estos resultados hacen parte de la investigación “Estudios metodológicos para contribuir a mejorar el proceso de Enseñanza_Aprendizaje del Álgebra Lineal, incorporando las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación – TIC”
