Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta un contraste entre los modelos de la Teoría de Colas y la Simulación. El principal objetivo es evidenciar como estas dos áreas se complementan mutuamente. Lo anterior debido a que con el modelo matemático se puede validar el modelo de simulación y este último permite al investigador profundizar mucho más en el análisis del sistema de colas objeto de estudio. Para observar lo anterior, se presenta como caso de estudio un sistema de atención en una entidad bancaria, el cual está conformado por una línea de espera “fila Preferencial” y un servidor “El Cajero” encargado de atender los clientes respectivos.
