Las universidades más reconocidas del mundo se esperan lideren el camino en el establecimiento de pautas y políticas para el uso ético y responsable de la inteligencia artificial generadora de textos en entornos académicos. A medida que estas herramientas se vuelven más accesibles y ubicuas, surge la necesidad urgente de abordar su impacto en la integridad académica y las prácticas de publicación científica. Las prestigiosas instituciones del MIT, Harvard y Stanford se han destacado en esta área, estableciendo un precedente para otras al articular enfoques integrales que abarcan desde la exploración tecnológica hasta la adaptación curricular y la formulación de políticas.
