Abstract

Desde la Dirección de Scientia et Technica se celebra una trayectoria que se remonta a marzo de 1995 (Resolución 131 del Ministerio de Gobierno), cuando un grupo de académicos al interior de la UTP, liderados inicialmente por el profesor Carlos Alberto Orozco Hincapié, impulsó una revista destinada a dar identidad a la investigación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira y a socializarla con la comunidad. En sus primeros años fue impresa y esencialmente semestral; luego evolucionó a publicación trimestral en línea y de acceso abierto, con foco en Ciencias Básicas e Ingenierías [1], [2], [19].

A comienzos de los años 2000, la Dra. Sandra Milena Pérez articuló la vinculación con el sistema nacional de ciencia (entonces Colciencias, hoy Minciencias), fortaleciendo la visibilidad y los reconocimientos docentes asociados al Decreto 1279 de 2002. Posteriormente, Edison Duque condujo una transición intermedia al soporte digital (distribución en CD), antesala de la migración plena a plataforma en línea. Entre 2008 y 2017, Hugo Armando Gallego Becerra profesionalizó la operación en Open Journal Systems (OJS) y consolidó la indexación en Publindex/Minciencias (categoría B), además de afianzar la presencia en catálogos y redes de acceso abierto [4], [5], [2].
