Comportamiento microestructural de una fundición blanca al alto cromo sometida a ciclos de tratamientos térmico

Las fundiciones blancas al alto cromo son materiales altamente usados en la minería y la perforación de pozos petroleros debido a su alta resistencia al desgaste. Esta propiedad es obtenida tras someter dichas fundiciones a un ciclo adecuado de tratamientos térmicos, ya que en estado de suministro, este material presenta una matriz austenítica. En el presente artículo se expone el efecto de someter una muestra de dicha fundición a un tratamiento de temple a 950ºC, siendo posteriormente enfriado al aire sobre la matriz austenítica y el cambio a una matriz martensítica debido a este proceso, y, por tanto, un aumento en su resistencia al desgaste.Downloads
