Estrategias de aprendizaje empleadas por los estudiantes para resolver problemas matemáticos

Abstract

Este estudio pretendió explorar las estrategias de aprendizaje que emplean los estudiantes universitarios en la asignatura de matemáticas uno, pertenecientes a los programas de Ingeniería y tecnología de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. Su diseño es descriptivo – exploratorio, y se enmarca en una lógica cualitativa, debido al tipo de información que se obtiene, la cual emerge de las categorías. La unidad de análisis estuvo conformada por 10 estudiantes de primer semestre de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, que durante el semestre anterior habían cursado y perdido la asignatura de matemáticas uno. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la entrevista semiestructurada, la observación de una sesión de estudio y el autoinforme. Como resultado se encontró que frente a los componentes de las estrategias, prefieren hacer uso de las técnicas, poseen un metaconocimiento poco reflexivo, tienen insuficientes conocimientos previos sobre en el área, su motivación es extrínseca, y no hacen regulación y control de sus procesos de aprendizaje.
