Estudio de las características físicas de haces de fibra de guadua angustifolia

Abstract

En este artículo se presentan los resultados obtenidos del estudio de características físicas de haces de fibra de Guadua angustifolia , tales como: porcentaje de contenido de humedad, porcentaje de absorción de agua, densidad aparente promedio, forma de la sección transversal y textura superficial. Esta caracterización se hizo con el fin de comparar los resultados obtenidos con características similares de otras fibras naturales y sintéticas y evaluar la factibilidad de utilizar los haces de fibra estudiados como posible material de refuerzo de materiales compuestos. Para lograr este objetivo fue necesario utilizar diferentes técnicas de caracterización de materiales sencillas y sofisticadas
