Abstract

Como propuesta para la evaluación de algunos efectos atribuibles a la implementación de la política ambiental que establece los programas para el uso eficiente y ahorro de agua, se planteó la construcción de un modelo de simulación a partir del enfoque metodológico de dinámica de sistemas. Los datos que nutren el modelo caracterizan el comportamiento de la oferta y demanda de agua en la ciudad de Pereira (Colombia). La evaluación permitió la aproximación a algunos efectos que pueden asociarse a la adopción de las estrategias planteadas por la política ambiental, sobre los comportamientos en los patrones de consumo y la gestión de la red de distribución de agua.
