Mezcla de esteroles aislada del extracto etanolico de zanthoxylum caribaeum; y actividad anti-tuberculosis y anti-malaria del extracto etanólico

Abstract

Del extracto etanólico de madera de Zanthoxylum caribaeum, secas y molidas, fueron sometidas a extracción por precolación con etanol al 96 por ciento; y cada uno de los extractos obtenidos fueron analizados y purificados por técnicas cromatográficas (CC, CCDP, CG-EM) aislándose una mezcla de esteroles (colesterol, estigmasterol y sitosterol) que se caracterizó e identificó por métodos espectroscópicos (RMN 1H) y de CG-EM. Se realizaron ensayos biológicos (siguiendo los protocolos Fundación Instituto de Inmunológica de Colombia-FIDE) anti-tuberculosis y anti-malaria dando valores de lectura no representativos.
