Efecto kerr magnetoóptico antecedentes y aplicaciones

Abstract

En este articulo se presenta una revisión del estado del arte del efecto Kerr magnetoóptico, tanto desde su origen como desde una perspectiva fenomenológica. Se consideran varias alternativas de implementación desde el punto de vista de la instrumentación, junto con algunas de sus aplicaciones prácticas. El magnetómetro Kerr se compara con algunas técnicas conocidas orientadas al estudio de nuevos materiales magnéticos de proporciones micrométricas y nanométricas. Además, se reportan los grupos de investigación nacionales que actualmente trabajan al rededor del efecto Kerr magnetoóptico.
