CONSIDERACIONES SOBRE APLICACIONES TECNOLOGÍCAS DE TRANSFORMACIONES DE FASE EN ACEROS
Abstract
Este artículo presenta las principales transformaciones de fase de estado sólido, como: fases proeutectoides, perlita, bainita, martensita y algunos tipos de precipitados ocurridas en los aceros a partir de la descomposición de la austenita o fase madre, ya que estas determinan las características mecánicas y físicas de un material. Las transformaciones de fase presentadas son obtenidas a través de tratamientos térmicos, formación de precipitados, recubrimientos duros aplicados por soldadura y procesos que involucran la formación de fases activadas con ayuda de calor y presión (nitruración a alta temperatura).
