Abstract

Las experiencias que se viven a diario en el aula de clase han llevado a reflexionar acerca de la didáctica matemática más recomendable para realizar exitosamente el acto educativo; los casos de desatención en las explicaciones, la apatía de los estudiantes frente al estudio de las matemáticas, la incoherencia en el desarrollo de procedimientos y las dificultades en los procesos de comunicación,  son solo algunos aspectos en la educación matemática que hacen pensar en la necesidad de apuntar a reorganizaciones y reestructuraciones.  Es el caso puntual de la investigación realizada a un grupo de mujeres en riesgo de prostitución adscritas al programa de resocialización de la comunidad religiosa adoratrices de la ciudad de Pereira, ya que para la caracterización de las prácticas matemáticas que este grupo de mujeres realiza mediante actividades de talleres de corte, confección, perfeccionamiento y elaboración de prendas; desarrollan habilidades innatas propias de cada una de las participantes o la influencia del entorno social
