Abstract

Al aparecer el concepto de Desarrollo Sostenible, la Contabilidad Ambiental tiene que construir metodologías para su valuación, aplicación y control, por tanto, es indispensable contemplar la posibilidad de la contabilidad física y monetaria en las áreas de los recursos naturales y del medio ambiente. En la actualidad la mayoría de las empresas siguen utilizando contabilidad tradicional, en donde los costos medioambientales en los procesos productivos de las empresas continúan sin un pleno reconocimiento y análisis, es decir, a pesar que en el proceso productivo se utilizan los recursos naturales, en la inclusión en los costos no se considera el valor real de reposición del recurso, teniéndose sólo en cuenta los costos de almacenamiento, transporte, y explotación de los mismos. De aquí la importancia de revisar algunas metodologías de costeo utilizadas en algunas empresas.
