This paper summarizes the design, construction and simulation of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and validates the theoretical results against experimental results related to the amount of water produced by it. In the simulations could visualize the behavior of the fuel cell under various operating conditions. Once built the fuel cell, measurements of voltage and current flow generated by the cell were made. Because the experimental results related to the production of water are not much different from the theoretical results, we can say that the work of this fuel cell is a contribution in the area of design and construction of these devices, setting the basis for PEMFC future projects.
