DOI:

History is not only written from the great centers of power, but also from the peripheries, the margins and the local communities that, in their complexity, reflect the great movements of the world. In this issue of New Science, we explore how global and local contexts dialogue and influence each other, weaving narratives that help us understand the dynamics of the past and its relevance in contemporary debates.
