Abstract

The proposal of a qualitative data analysis technique based on a collection by means of an instrument of RGB color units (Red, Green and Blue) is made as a basis in the process of studying the textual corpus of the concept of electromagnetism in students of physical engineering from the Technological University of Pereira. Determine the effectiveness of the collection method that leads to the appropriation of the knowledge that is the subject of the investigation to be consolidated. There were 10 students who responded through a Google form and once the database was obtained, the analysis technique was applied from the color tones, having five phases, where it was systematized, organize, group, classify and graph the information obtained. The implementation of this test allowed to generate a variation of tones that were assigned to the answers made in the sample and in the course of the procedure to label the information that was related to each other. Through the data obtained in the generation of labels according to the tonality of the color, the applicability, clarity and efficiency in the interpretation of the qualitative data are revealed as a consequence of the origin of new tones for the condensed information, allowing the creation of metaphors of the relationship between elements from different contexts in the research.
